The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
