The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
