The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 pay their religious tax 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
