The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
