The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
