The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 These are the heirs 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
