The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 Who guard their sex 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
