The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
