The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
