The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
