The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
