The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
