The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
