The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 and guard their private parts 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
