The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 pay their religious tax 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
