The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
