The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 who give charity, 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 to their promise, 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
