The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
