The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 who observe Zakah; 4 who guard their privates, 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
