The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
