The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
