The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 to their promise, 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
