The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
