The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
