The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
