The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
