The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 These will be the heirs, 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
