The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
