The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
