The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 Who guard their sex 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 These are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
