And We verily sent Noah unto his folk, and he said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save Him. Will ye not ward off (evil)? 23 The chiefs of his people, who did not believe, said: "He is only a man like you. He wishes to acquire ascendancy over you. If God had willed He would have sent down angels. We never heard this from our elders. 24 "He is only a man in whom is madness, so wait for him a while." 25 Noah said: "My Lord! Come to my help at their accusation that I am lying." 26 We said to him: 'Make the Ark under Our Eye, and Our Revelation, and then when Our command comes and the oven gushes water, take onboard a pair from every kind and your family, except him against whom the decision has already been passed. Do not address Me concerning those who have done evil; they shall be drowned. 27 When all of you settle in the Ark, say, "Only God Who has saved us from the unjust people deserves all praise". 28 "And say: 'O my Sustainer! Cause me to reach a destination blessed [by Thee] for Thou art the best to show man how to reach his [true] destination!'" 29 In this story there is enough evidence (of the Truth); thus do We try (mankind) 30 We brought another generation into existence after the people of Noah. 31 And We sent to them a messenger from among themselves, (saying), "Worship Allah! ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?" 32
