AND, INDEED, We sent forth Noah unto his people and he said: "O my people! Worship God alone: you have no deity other than Him. Will you not, then, become conscious of Him?" 23 Then said the chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people: this is no other than a human being like unto you, he seeketh to make himself superior unto you; and if God had willed, He would have sent down angels; we have not heard of this among our fathers ancient. 24 He is nothing else except a man who is mad, so watch him for awhile. 25 "O my Lord," prayed (Noah), "help me against them, for they accuse me of lies." 26 We inspired him, saying, "Build the Ark before Our eyes and by the instruction of Our revelation. When our decree comes to pass and water comes forth from the Oven, embark in the Ark with a pair of every kind of animals and your family except those already doomed (to perish). Do not plead with Me for the unjust; they will be drowned." 27 And then when you and those accompanying you are firmly seated in the Ark, say: "Thanks be to Allah Who has delivered us from the wrong-doing people." 28 And say: 'O Lord, disembark me in a welcome place; You are the best of deliverers.' 29 Indeed, surely in this are signs and indeed surely, We were examining. 30 Then We raised another generation after them, 31 and sent a messenger to them from among themselves: "Worship God alone. You have no deity other than Him. Will you not then fear God?" 32
