And We sent Noah to his people; and he, said, 'O my people, serve God! You have no god other than He. Will you not be godfearing?" 23 But the eminent among those who disbelieved from his people said, "This is not but a man like yourselves who wishes to take precedence over you; and if Allah had willed [to send a messenger], He would have sent down angels. We have not heard of this among our forefathers. 24 He is only a man in whom is madness wherefore await for him for a season. 25 [Nuh (Noah)] said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." 26 So We sent him the divine revelation that, “Make the ship in front of Our sight, and by Our command – then when Our command comes and the oven overflows, embark in it two of every couple, and from your household except those upon whom the Word has been decreed; and do not speak to Me in respect of these unjust people; they will surely be drowned.” 27 And when you are firmly seated, you and those with you, in the ark, say: All praise is due to Allah who delivered us from the unjust people: 28 And pray, “My Lord! Cause me to alight at a blessed place – and You are the Best of all who bring to settle.” 29 Most surely there are signs in this, and most surely We are ever trying (men). 30 AND AFTER those [people of old] We gave rise to new generations; 31 and We sent among them a Messenger from among themselves, saying: "Serve Allah; you have no god other than He. Do you have no fear?" 32
