And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink. 33 If you were to obey a human being like yourselves, you will certainly be losers. 34 Doth he promise you that you, when ye are dead and have become dust and bones, will (again) be brought forth? 35 ۞ How far-fetched what you are promised; 36 “There is nothing except our life of this world, we die and we live, and we are not to be raised.” 37 He is just a man who invents a lie about God; we cannot believe in him." 38 He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." 39 (Allah) said: "In a little while, they are sure to be regretful." 40 So the true Scream seized them – We therefore made them like rotten hay; so away with the unjust people! 41 After them We brought another generation into existence. 42 [for,] no community can ever forestall [the end of] its term - and neither can they delay [its coming]. 43 Thereafter We sent Our apostles, successively. So oft as there came unto a community their apostle, they belied him, so We made them follow one another, and We made them bywords; so away with a people who believe not! 44 AND THEN We sent forth Moses and his brother Aaron with Our messages and a manifest authority [from Us] 45 to Pharaoh and his courtiers, but they behaved insolently, for they were an arrogant people. 46 So they said: shall we believe in two human beings like unto us, while their nation are to us slaves? 47 So they rejected them both, and became those who were destroyed. 48 And indeed We gave Moosa the Book, that they may attain guidance. 49 And We made the son of Maryam (Prophet Eisa) and his mother a sign, and We gave them shelter on a height, a place to stay and visible springs. 50
