And [every time] the great ones among his people, who refused to acknowledge the truth and gave the lie to the announcement of a life to come - [simply] because We had granted them ease and plenty in [their] worldly life, and they had become corrupted by it [every time] they would say: "This [man] is nothing hut a mortal like yourselves, eating of what you eat, and drinking of what you drink: 33 “If you were to obey a human like yourselves, then surely you are losers!” 34 "Does he promise that when ye die and become dust and bones, ye shall be brought forth (again)? 35 ۞ Away! away with that wherewith ye are promised; 36 There is no life beyond our life in this world: we die and we live [but once,] and we shall never be raised from the dead! 37 He is naught but a man who has forged against God a lie, and we will not believe him.' 38 The messenger said, "My Lord, help me, for they have rejected me." 39 Said Allah, “They will soon wake up at morn, regretting.” 40 So the shriek seized them in truth, and We made them as [plant] stubble. Then away with the wrongdoing people. 41 Thereafter, after them, We produced other generations; 42 No nation can outstrip its term, nor can it put it back. 43 And We sent forth Our apostles, one after another: [and] every time their apostle came to a community, they gave him the lie: and so We caused them to follow one another [into the grave,] and let them become [mere] tales: and so - away with the folk who would not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our miracles and clear authority 45 Towards Firaun and his court members – in response they were haughty, and they were in dominance. 46 They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?" 47 So they rejected them and became of those who were destroyed. 48 And We gave the Book to Moses so that they may be guided. 49 and We made Mary's son, and his mother, to be a sign, and gave them refuge upon a height, where was a hollow and a spring: 50
