1/4 Hizb 35

But the leaders of his people who denied the truth and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, because We had granted them ease and plenty in their worldly life, said, "This is only a human being like yourselves, he eats what you eat, and drinks what you drink, 33 So if you follow a man like yourself you will certainly be doomed. 34 What, does he promise you that when you are dead and turned to dust and bones, you will be brought forth? 35 ۞ What you are promised is indeed far-fetched. 36 There is naught but our life of the world; we die and we live, and we shall not be raised (again). 37 He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not believe him." 38 (The apostle prayed): "O Lord, deliver me, for they accuse me of lies." 39 Answered (the Lord): "They shall wake up repenting soon." 40 A blast struck them for a just cause, and We made them look like withered leaves. God keeps the unjust people away from His mercy. 41 Then after them We raised other generations. 42 No people can hasten on their doom nor can they postpone (it). 43 We sent Our messengers one after the other but whenever a Messenger would come to a nation, its people would call him a liar and We would destroy one nation after the other, thus, only their stories were left behind them. God keeps the unbelievers far away from His Mercy. 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest, 45 To Firon and his chiefs, but they behaved haughtily and they were an insolent people. 46 And so they said: "Shall we believe [them] two mortals like ourselves - although their people are our slaves?" 47 So they belied them, and they were among the destroyed. 48 And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might be guided. 49 And We made the son of Marium and his mother a sign, and We gave them a shelter on a lofty ground having meadows and springs. 50
