A group of his people who disbelieved him and had called the Day of Judgment a lie and whom We had made prosperous in this life, said, "He is a mere mortal like you. He eats and drinks as you do. 33 “If you were to obey a human like yourselves, then surely you are losers!” 34 Does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be brought forth [once more]? 35 ۞ Away! away with that wherewith ye are promised; 36 This is our only life. We live and will die but we will never be brought back to life again. 37 He is naught but a man who has forged a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe in him. 38 (The prophet) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood." 39 He said, 'In a little they will be remorseful.' 40 So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead plants. So away with the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, disobedient to His Messengers, etc.). 41 Then after them We raised other generations. 42 No nation can outstrip its term, nor yet postpone it. 43 Then sent We Our Messengers successively; whenever its Messenger came to a nation they cried him lies, so We caused some of them to follow others, and We made them as but tales; so away with a people who do not believe! 44 AND THEN We sent forth Moses and his brother Aaron with Our messages and a manifest authority [from Us] 45 Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they scorned (them) and they were despotic folk. 46 They therefore said, “Shall we believe in two humans like ourselves, whereas their nation is servile to us?” 47 So they rejected them, calling them liars, and they too eventually became of those that were destroyed. 48 And We gave Moses the Book that people might be guided by it. 49 And We made the son of Maryam and his mother a sign; and We sheltered the twain on a height: a quiet abode and running water. 50
