Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or, is it that thou askest of them any maintenance? The maintenance of thy Lord is better, and He is the Best of providers. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
