'O Messengers, eat of the good things and do righteousness; surely I know the things you do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 So leave them in their confusion for a time. 54 Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children 55 Are quickly giving them goodness? In fact, they do not know. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 Nay, their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this; and their deeds too vary from the way (mentioned above). They will persist in these deeds 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 You are surely calling them to the right path. 73 and surely they that believe not in the world to come are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
