Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing; 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair. 77
