1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the communications of their Lord, 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 It is these who race for the good deeds, and they are foremost in them [e.g. offering the compulsory Salat (prayers) in their (early) stated, fixed times and so on]. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 Nay, but their hearts are in perplexity as to this, and they have deeds besides that that they are doing. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or, is it that thou askest of them any maintenance? The maintenance of thy Lord is better, and He is the Best of providers. 72 And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ And if We show mercy to them and remove the distress they have, they would persist in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 until We opened upon them the door of a severe chastisement. Then lo, in this state they become utterly despaired of any good. 77
