Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; 57 Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 60 those vie in good works, outracing to them. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 Aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or, is it that thou askest of them any maintenance? The maintenance of thy Lord is better, and He is the Best of providers. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ Even if We were to grant them mercy and rescue them from hardship, they would still blindly persist in their rebellion. 75 We already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their Lord nor were they humble; 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
