“O Noble Messengers, eat good clean things, and do good deeds; I know all that you do.” 51 This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 But their hearts are heedless of this. Moreover, there are other deeds besides this which they do. 63 Until, when We grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! They make humble invocation with a loud voice. 64 “Do not implore this day; you will not be helped by Us.” 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask them for some wages? But the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77
