O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 So leave them in their confusion for a time. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 and those who give to others what has been bestowed upon them with their hearts trembling at the thought that they must return to their Lord; 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 Do not cry out for help this day, for surely you shall not be helped by Us. 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
