[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 Therefore leave them in their overwhelming ignorance till 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 "Put a stop to your groaning now! Surely no help shall be provided to you from Us. 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together. 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. 71 Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance. 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
