O Ye apostles! eat the good things and work righteously; verily of that which ye work I am the Knower. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ Even if We were to grant them mercy and rescue them from hardship, they would still blindly persist in their rebellion. 75 We struck them with torment, but they did not submit themselves to their Lord, nor did they make themselves humble 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
