O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 “Do not implore this day; you will not be helped by Us.” 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? 69 Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
