1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 Are quickly giving them goodness? In fact, they do not know. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 who believe in the verses of their Lord; 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Are you asking them for something? What Allah has given you is the best. He is the Best of providers. 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ And if We have mercy upon them and remove the calamity which has befallen them, they would still stubbornly persist, wandering in their rebellion. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 until We opened the gate of greater torment (death) and they suddenly found themselves in despair. 77
