O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 Therefore leave them in their overwhelming ignorance till 54 Do they assume that the wealth and sons which We provide them – 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 who have full faith in the Signs of their Lord; 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication! 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 in arrogance, as if you were abandoning a story-teller. 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 We struck them with torment, but they did not submit themselves to their Lord, nor did they make themselves humble 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
