Have fear of Me". 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 So leave them in their bewilderment for a while. 54 Do they imagine that the wealth and children We have provided 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Are you asking them for something? What Allah has given you is the best.
